Cambodia Festivals in June

Sunset of Angkor Wat in June

As June, one of the first months in the wet season in Cambodia, is characterized by hot weather and high humidity, not many special festivals take place in this month. By June, the temperatures may exceed 35°C at times but this intense heat will eases off as the rain comes in. Rains are frequent, but not usually heavy or long. Despite the hot and humid weather, June is still an ideal month to visit Cambodia as an array of sunshine is still expected (between the showers). Especially, at this time, the dust is gone and the lush greenery of the countryside comes back. Angkor Wat in particular is stunning with moats brimming with water and a severe drop in visitor numbers.
